Improving the Wellbeing of Akron Families

The Unlikely Partners Health and Wellness Center aims to ensure that at least 3.5% of Akron families will:

  • Receive ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences)-informed training to understand trauma and its impact

  • Have access to mental health support

  • Participate in health screening, nutrition education, and fitness activities

  • The neighborhood fresh market, a consistent and reliable source of fresh and healthy food

Through this initiative, families will learn to manage and heal trauma, gain tools to respond effectively to stress and conflict, and improve their long-term wellbeing.
